Michigan Car Accident Law - No Fault Insurance Claim

There is a certain type of form that an injured person must file with an insurance company in order to get no fault benefits. This form is called an application for no fault benefits. In fact, we have a form on our website which can be downloaded for free from the website. It`s in our forms section and it愀 the form that most insurance companies use and it is needed in order to make a claim for no fault benefits.

There is a certain time period that an injured person must file an application for no fault benefits with the insurance company. Under Michigan law, the application for benefits must be filed within one year of the date of the accident, and if the form is not filed with the insurance company within one year, the injured person will not be able to make any claims for no fault benefits.

A person does not need a lawyer to file a claim for no fault benefits. Many times the person can obtain the application for no fault benefits on their own, can file with the insurance company and then submit claims to the insurance company and get paid for their wage loss, medical expenses and household services.

The insurance adjuster does not always tell the injured person what benefits they are entitled to receive. Many times I have seen cases where the insurance company and the insurance adjuster will not tell very valuable benefits that an injured person and their family can receive and these benefits after a certain time period if the claims are not submitted are lost forever.

An injured person can find out all the benefits that are available to them under the Michigan no fault laws by consulting and speaking with an experienced attorney who has handled no fault cases in the past. I have written a book called. The Ultimate Michigan Car Accident Handbook which explains all the benefits that a person can receive under the Michigan No Fault Act and under their insurance policy.

car accident, motorcycle accident, slip and fall, medical malpractice, dog bite injury, and other cases throughout Michigan.
