How to Get Health Insurance - Health Insurance Information

How to Get Health Insurance - Health Insurance Information

Here we're today talking about insurance ins and outs, and specifically how to obtain health insurance. Well, the process is very simple. You're going to find an insurance agent or a insurance company that you can deal directly with, and ask them for an application for health insurance. You will fill out that health insurance application, which will ask you all your pertinent personal information, including your medical history.

Usually they'll go back five to ten years on all of your--any doctors visits that you've had, any medications that you've taken or are currently taking. And they'll want to know all of that information so that they can appropriately underwrite the policy. If you are applying for an individual health insurance policy, you need to be aware that these policies are underwritten by the company. It's not an automatic acceptance. You have to qualify for it. So if you've had trouble with health issues in the past, that may become an issue.

It doesn't necessarily mean that you won't get coverage, but it can affect the rate that you get, or whether you'll get accepted or not. But in essence, you will out that application, you submit that information with all the details about any health conditions that you may have, the underwriters will evaluate that, and usually within a few weeks they'll give you an offer or decline your application.

Why is health insurance important?

Why is health insurance important?

Health insurance. It may not be the most exciting thing to shop for, but it's one of the most important things that you can buy for yourself. Here are three reasons why. One: It saves you money on health care. Whether it's your annual physical, emergency care, or a prescription medication - health care can get pretty expensive.

For instance, the average cost to treat a broken leg is over five thousand dollars. Having a baby? That's over seven thousand dollars. Health insurance pays a portion of your health care costs. In addition, health insurance companies can get you better rates for services. So you'll never pay the full amount on covered health care costs.

And even if you don't go to the doctor that often, accidents happen, and anyone can get sick. So it's best to be prepared. Two: It helps you stay healthy. Check-ups, screenings, tests, immunizations - all can help prevent serious medical conditions later on. The good news is that all health insurance plans cover certain preventive services at no additional cost when you use an in-network provider.

Some plans even offer free visits to a nutritionist, as well as value-added wellness programs, like reimbursement for gym fees, and discounts on fitness gear and programs that help you lose weight or stop smoking. Three: It's the law. The Affordable Care Act requires most Americans to have health insurance. If you don't get health insurance through an employer, you can buy it directly from a health insurance company. Or you can shop for a plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Worried about the cost? Many people qualify for lower monthly costs or help with out-of-pocket expenses.

Is Dental Insurance Included in My Health Insurance?

Is Dental Insurance Included in My Health Insurance?

Someone just asked: is dental insurance included in health insurance? Well, it can be. It's an optional benefit that insurance companies offer with their health insurance plans. It does not always, is not always included. When it is included, it doesn't cost too much.

The benefits are rather limited, usually about a thousand dollars for the calendar year, and they have a couple of cleanings you can do, and the premiums cost in the neighborhood of about fifteen to twenty dollars a month. However, there are stand alone dental insurance plans out there, in the marketplace, that cost about twenty-five dollars a month and have much better benefits.

So what you might want to consider is how often do you go to the dentist, what are the services you want performed, and is it going to be economical to have a stand alone policy on top of your health insurance policy. Different insurance companies subcontract their work out to the different dentists and you can usually just select whatever dentist within that network that you want to work with. Dental insurance is something you should have in case that you need to have that root canal done.

How to Get Supplemental Dental Insurance - Health Insurance Tips

How to Get Supplemental Dental Insurance - Health Insurance Tips

If you are looking for dental coverage and then you work with an employer who has dental coverage and all of a sudden you realize that his plan or their plan is not quite enough, there are stand-along policies out there by good companies that handle dental coverage.

Many of these plans are discount plans however, and they don't cover an awful lot of benefits. There is one particular company, out there, that does have true dental insurance and what they do provide for a nominal amount of money, like $25.00 or $35.00 for an individual or family, is a complete dental package.

It will cover x-rays. It'll cover free cleanings twice a year. It'll cover the maintenance of the teeth that happen to occur, at discounted prices. So there are several different companies out there that do offer this. But in order to obtain one you've got to go to a trusted advisor, a broker who understands what's available.

How Does Medical Insurance Work?

How Does Medical Insurance Work?

Medical insurance provides protection in the event that you need to have medical coverage or medical attention. Medical policy is purchased from an insurance company. That policy has a deductible and that policy has coinsurance.

Normally, once the deductible and the coinsurance has been paid, by yourself, then the policy will pick up the rest of cost of that particular service. If you present your medical insurance card to a hospital, as an example, they will provide those services at a tremendous discount.

If you don't have a medical insurance card, then there is no discount and you're left at the mercy of whatever the going price is. Normally if you're a single person, the typical deductible would be around $2500.00. If you're married, you can use that same concept on an individual policy. If you work for an employer, usually deductibles are lower because the employer winds up paying a major portion of that coverage. Without a policy, you're at the open-market to problems that will happen.

How Does PPO Health Insurance Work?

How Does PPO Health Insurance Work?

Hello my name is Vic Schumacher. The company is HPE Financial Services where we're helping people everyday. I understand that you're trying to understand what a PPO is. First of all, PPO stands for preferred provider organization.

This is a type of organization where doctors and hospitals in the medical field come together and they work with people, individuals who come to them, who belong to this group; who belong to the PPO group. These doctors and hospitals also work in private sectors. They have their own prices for what they do if you don't belong to that particular network. But a PPO is nothing more than an organization; a group membership type of approach.

To go along with that, there's an HMO. An HMO stands for health maintenance organization. Insurance carriers will offer either an HMO or a PPO. With a HMO most of those providers desire to work on preventive maintenance types of approach. Compared to "I'm sick, I go to the hospital."; "I'm sick, I go to the doctor." Preventative maintenance tries to make sure that you don't get sick. Two different approaches; two different concepts.

How to Pass the Life & Health Insurance Exam

How to Pass the Life & Health Insurance Exam

Hello my name is Vic Schumacher. The company is HPE Financial Services. For those people who are interested in turning and learning how to pass a health insurance or a life insurance exam, my suggestion to you is contact the state where you live. Have them send to you a study manual and it goes through everything that you want to know and many things that you don't need to know about health insurance and life insurance and histories and things of this nature.

You can also go online if you can through a computer you're familiar with, go online and go to health insurance study courses. Many companies offer a study course that you can attend on a five day a week basis. They go through everything that you need to know. They tell you exactly what is going to be on the exam, how to study for it and they give practical applications.

It's a full forty, fifty hours for the entire week and it will prepare you. Those types of courses normally cost about $125.00. The study exam itself, the manual will cost about $35.00. So you've got about $150.00-$160.00 invested in how to take this exam. When you take the exam, if you don't pass it you can take it again, but it is well worth it to have a study course to go by and practical experience as you go into the exam. My name is Vic Schumacher; the company is HPE Financial Services, helping people everyday.

Insurance Information : How to Choose a Health Insurance Plan

Insurance Information : How to Choose a Health Insurance Plan

My name's Seann McWhorter, I'm agency principal of Insure Right Insurance Agency, located in Lehi, Utah. We're here to talk about insurance ins and outs, and specifically how to choose a health insurance plan. Well, I think that there are several different things that you need to consider when choosing a health insurance plan. And price isn't necessarily the most important thing, although it is an important determining factor.

Some of the things you need to consider is your current health situation. If you or your family members have had any health problems in the past, it may be difficult for you to qualify for an individual health insurance policy. So you want to consider that before ever leaving your current health insurance program. Some of the things that you'll want to consider when you're purchasing a health insurance company is to find--make sure the companies that you're applying with are companies that are financially stable.

That aren't going to be pulling in and out of the state that you live in, which can put you in a really tough situation. It's also important to determine whether you want an HMO type of a policy, or a PPO type of a policy, or a high deductible health savings account type of policy. There are differences between all them.

An HMO policy will--you basically have to choose a primary care provider, and any time that you want to visit a doctor you'll need to go to that primary care provider and discuss the situation with them, and then they will give you a referral to go to a specialist in whatever you need to specialist that you'll need to see. Whereas in a PPO, you are able to go to whatever doctor you want as long as that person is in the network in order to get his services paid at the preferred rate--or preferred schedule.

Tactics for Negotiating Insurance Settlements

Tactics for Negotiating Insurance Settlements

After you've received all the health care you need, and you’ve gathered all your bills and records and hired any experts that you might need, it’s time to present your claim to the insurance company and attempt to settle it. You need to expect that you’re gonna’ have to negotiate, so you must ask for more than you believe your claim is worth, because they are naturally gonna’ come back and offer less than whatever you ask for. The law in Texas says that a defendant who injures you (and/or their insurance company in their place) they don't owe all of your medical care. And they don’t owe for all injuries that you claim sustained in the accident.

The law says they only owe reasonable medical bills for necessary health care. So, it should come as no surprise that these insurance companies, on darn near every case, they’re gonna' argue that some of your bills aren't reasonable, in fact quite a few of them. And then they’re gonna' argue that quite a bit of your health care wasn't necessary, didn't follow some type of guidelines or standardized procedures. Not only that, but you have to be prepared to understand that there's a waiting game. The insurance companies, most of the time, are not willing on one phone call, or even on the second phone call, to offer you their full settlement range authority.

They’re gonna' start out offering a low amount and no matter what you do or say during that phone call, or in person meeting, it's not gonna’ change their mind, because there's policies and procedures in place where they want people sitting around wondering, that might need money, if they should take it, and they want to wear you down. And if you think about it, that's good negotiation strategy. If you contact an attorney, we can help you. We can give you a free consultation, or you can hire us and we can do it for you.

There are good adjusters and bad adjusters and some will threaten you by saying something like, "Well if you don't sign this form, I'm going to close your case."

They can even show up at your hospital or go to your home And they may offer you money to settle your case. All these things are used as tactics to intimidate you settle your case. Health Insurance Advice & Tips - Why do you need a Health Insurance Plan

Health Insurance Advice & Tips - Why do you need a Health Insurance Plan

Why is it that we take it so easy? Like this friend of mine who came back from a vacation with a bad infection. ten days in the hospital, a huge bill and out of work for a month. Bank balance gone down no income to make the matter worse. If only he had extra tyre ready in his boot.

A small premium can save you and your family a lot of trouble and financial problems. So please do get a good health plan. These plans pay you when you're unwell or hospitalized depending on the type of policy you have. So you do not need to borrow from someone or empty your bank account. And unlike some other medical plans you get a lump sum amount irrespective of how much your hospital bills are.

If you plan well you can also get money to compensate for your regular income you may lose when you are unwell and let's not forget about the 35,000 rupees tax benefits that you can get with these plans. We all keep hearing that his health is wealth. Don't we. But with some smart planning, bad health may not always be bad for your wealth.
Auto Insurance Policy -- Tips For Superior But Cheap Insurance Coverage

Auto Insurance Policy -- Tips For Superior But Cheap Insurance Coverage

Auto Insurance Policy -- Tips For Superior But Cheap Insurance Coverage. Stay claims-free for more than three years and most insurers will give you a special discount. Remember, this does not mean you might not have any cause to make a claim but that you did not file one.

Therefore, if it's a minor case, handle it on your own. What you'll gain from a No Claims discount will certainly outweigh it. Reduce your Bodily injury liability coverage to the very minimum required by your state law and buy an umbrella policy instead. The more substantial your asset, they more this recommendation is true in your case.

Just to ensure we all are on the same plate... ...Bodily injury liability coverage takes care of passengers and the other driver in an accident that's caused by you. If this coverage type takes care of such liability issues, why is still recommended that you get an umbrella policy?

The simple reason is that the liability coverage included in any auto insurance policy is usually inadequate. This means that your personal assets will be taken if your liability coverage cannot handle the bills and damages incurred.

However, there is hardly a law suit or liability issue that an umbrella policy won't take care of completely. You save on many ends with an umbrella policy... It helps you get lower rates, gives you superior liability coverage on auto related issues... ..But still covers liability claims that may arise somewhere else, for example, your home. Price-wise, you get much more coverage per premium dollar with an umbrella policy...

It could cost a 35 year old man in an area like New York City... ...Around $300 extra to raise his bodily injury liability from $25,000/$50,000 to $100,000/$300,000 (The first amount in each pair shows the maximum amount that will be paid out to each injured person in an accident. The second amount shows the maximum that can be paid out per accident). However, with an umbrella policy, he'll spend less than that to get $1 million worth of coverage. And if he chooses to raise the coverage amount of his umbrella policy to $2 million dollars...

...He'll only have to pay only $75 more! But that's NOT all...
After the $2 million mark, he'll need to add only $50 to his rate per $1 million extra coverage amount. See? That's superior coverage for a lot less -- That's the advantage in adding an umbrella policy instead.

Car Accidents & Quick Settlement Offers - The Straight Truth

Car Accidents & Quick Settlement Offers - The Straight Truth

Welcome and thank you for joining me. I'm Gerry Oginski, a New York medical malpractice and personal injury accident attorney practicing law here in the State of New York. For those of you who've been involved in a car accident, I want to tell you about a great why that insurance companies go about trying to save thousands and thousands of dollars to get you to settle your personal injury accident claim.

The insurance company rep will want to talk to you to find out what your injuries are. They will want to know whether you are still undergoing medical care, whether you had hospitalization, whether you need surgery, whether you need physical therapy or rehabilitation therapy or whether you need ongoing medical intervention. Why do they do that? Because they want to know what the risk is from a financial standpoint on their end as to whether they are going to have to ultimately pay you, assuming that they have liability, for your injuries.

If they can try and limit the amount that they are going to pay you by offering a quick settlement now, it's in their interest to try and do that. I have seen many times where an insurance company feels that they have liability and that they are documented damages and injuries, they will simply cut a check without being asked in the hopes that you will see a nice big check and take it and sign it and cash it. Once you do that, you are effectively giving up your right to bring a lawsuit and seek compensation for more than whatever it is that the insurance companies offer you.

That's one way that the insurance companies saves thousands and thousands of dollars by settling a case early without you even asking them for a dime. Plus, shortly after the accident, you may not know the full extent of your permanent injuries. You may not know whether you'll need surgery in the future or what type of therapy you're going to need. As a result of that, you're going to be speculating that you will not need those additional treatments just because you see a nice check in front of you. My advice is before you ever cash that settlement check, speak to an experienced attorney and find out if this is the right thing for you. In some cases, it might be. In other cases, you'll see that it's totally inappropriate and insufficient compensation for your injuries. That's it for today's video tip. I want to thank you for joining me. I'm Gerry Oginski, have a great day.

The Cheapest Car Insurance Guarantee It - Tips And Advice

Running a business on the internet is a lot cheaper than a brick and mortar approach. Compared to buying offline from a brick and mortar business, you'll save up to 15% if you buy your auto insurance policy online.

Therefore, as much as you can, buy your auto insurance policy online. However, do your utmost to present your details truthfully. If you try to cheat you'll lose big time on the long run... Your insurer will be covered by the law if they cancel your policy on the grounds that you misrepresented facts.

Don't also forget to confirm your preferred insurer's rating and standing with your state's department of insurance and other financial rating institutions. A simple but effective way of lowering your rate is by authorizing an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). This just means your insurer withdraws your premiums automatically from your account at specified periods without mailing you payment notices.

This saves your insurer in many ways such as removing the cost of mailing payment notices and the cost associated with processing checks. Your premium is, therefore, reduced in line with the lower cost of giving you insurance. Statistically, women are safer drivers. Married couples can take advantage of this by having their cars insured in the lady's name with the man as the secondary driver.

Although this might not go down well with some male folks, it will help reduce what your family pays for auto insurance. Staying claims-free will result in a good discount. But bear in mind that not all insurers offer this discount. If your agent says they don't offer this discount, let him or her know that you will switch to another insurer.

Believe it or not, every insurer likes having people who stay claims free for this long as policy holders... ...You shouldn't have any difficulty getting better rates with a host of other insurers. Most insurers will do all within their powers to ensure they don't lose you and this should lead to some compromise on their part.

What to Do After a Car Accident

What to Do After a Car Accident

Accident sounds. An accident is an overwhelming situation that can happen anytime, any place. Being prepared to handle the aftermath of the situation can help alleviate the stress. Here are a few simple steps to follow. First, stay calm. Call the police and give the exact location of the accident and advise if medical help is needed.

Then, if your vehicle is not heavily damaged, move it and yourself to a safe location away from traffic. Once you are safe, contact your insurance agent. They will advise you on collecting the information you need and starting the claims process.Record the facts about the accident. These will be important in determining fault and settling your claim.

Take note of all vehicles involved in the accident including make and model and license plate numbers. Describe the damage to each and, if possible, take photos. Record the names of the other drivers and gather their contact information. Exchange insurance information with the other drivers including the name and telephone number of your insurance company, but do not provide specific information about your coverage.

Gather contact information from any witnesses to the accident, including passengers in the other vehicles. Also take notes of any property damage caused by the accident and get photos, if possible. Most importantly, do not admit fault. Whether you caused the accident or not, statements made now could be used against you later. Just stick to the facts. Remember, your insurance agent and your company claim representatives are there to guide you every step of the way from reporting and settling the claim to repairing the damage. Their job is to get you on the road to recovery as soon as possible.

What if I'm arrested for "auto insurance fraud" in Nevada?

What if I'm arrested for "auto insurance fraud" in Nevada?

Here in the state of Nevada, automobile insurance fraud is prosecuted by the Attorney General's office. And it can encompass a wide array of conduct designated under NRS 686A. Automobile insurance fraud could involve falsely claiming that your car was stolen, when it was really just abandoned. It could involve claiming that you were injured in an automobile accident, when in fact, you were not.

It could involve claiming that items were stolen from your vehicle, when in fact, they were not. We also see a lot of cases where someone may be charged with insurance fraud in relation to an arson, where a car is found. It was set on fire. And it's later alleged that the person who made the claim was actually the person that set the car aflame, or had somebody else do it.

The penalties for automobile insurance fraud can include state prison. With the difficult times being faced by many people here in Las Vegas, due to the economic circumstances, it could be that someone bit off more than they could chew, got a car that was more expensive than what they could afford.

They lost their job. They can't make the note. They're worried about how this is going to affect their credit. And so it seems like a rather simple solution, hey, if my car is stolen, my problem goes away. And in terms of how these cases have been investigated by the Attorney General's office, it can be very difficult for the state to prove actual fraud.

Oftentimes, in terms of negotiations, if the party is willing to pay some form of restitution, these cases can be dismissed or, in fact, never filed at all. If you've filed an automobile insurance claim and suddenly you have private investigators from the insurance company calling you repeatedly, or knocking at your door, or law enforcement agents contacting you about your claim, don't talk to them. Call us here at the Las Vegas Defense Group and we'll help you navigate through this process, with the objective to avoid any charges being filed at all.

Advice - Multi-Vehicle Discounts for Auto Insurance

Advice - Multi-Vehicle Discounts for Auto Insurance

You are looking at your insurance policy and you are trying to figure out if you have more than one car would I get a discount for that? My name is James with The Resurgence Group and we are a full service insurance agency and we specialize in auto insurance.

It is a good question for your agent so what I would suggest is that you sit down, discuss with your agent as many vehicles that you have and chances are you will get a multi vehicle discount. Companies like to see drivers with cars so rather than just one driver and two cars if you had two drivers in two cars you might even get more of a discount.

They just want to make sure that you are not having a fleet of cars and that other people have access to them. That is the biggest challenge is if people have multiple cars is that is someone else going to be driving that other vehicle while you are driving your primary vehicle. So again get with your agent, sit down with them, discuss the different types of vehicles that you have and especially the types of limits that you want so that you can figure out what that premium is going to look like and if it fits your budget. I'm James with The Resurgence Group. We are a full service insurance agency. We sit down every day with our clients and we try to figure out the best policy so that it fits the best budget for that client.
How to Deal With Another Person's Car Insurance Company

How to Deal With Another Person's Car Insurance Company

When you are dealing with another person's car insurance company, there's only really one reason why you would do that and that's because you've just had an accident. My name is James with the Resurgence group. We are a full service insurance agency and we try and help people when it comes to questions about their car insurance. If you have an accident and you are at the scene of the accident the first thing you want to do is get that another person's insurance card.

It should have a policy number and a eight hundred number and also the name of the carrier. Do yourself a favor just don't think just write and take that information down. Cause many people try to remember the policy number or the eight hundred number or even the carrier that you know the other person has but then once the accident is gone and they might not show up, ever again, and you might not ever see them, you just don't know the information that you needed.

So again try to get their information immediately, I know it's a traumatic time, but if you do get that policy number and that eight hundred number, you can call up their customer service department and make sure that the process is started. In regards to the process, what they'll do is they'll ask for a police report so you definitely want to get a police report and either fax that over, or submit it to the claims adjuster so that they can make sure that your name is on that claim when it comes to you paying for that claim. Again my name is James with the Resurgence group I hope that you never have an accident but when you do and you need to deal with another person's company just make sure that you have their policy number and their eight hundred number and I'm sure customer service would be glad to help you.

What if the Person Who Hit Me Has No Auto Insurance?

What if the Person Who Hit Me Has No Auto Insurance?

What happens if I am hit by a person who does not have insurance or who does not have enough insurance to cover my damages? First off, California requires that every driver carry a minimum liability policy. The minimum policy is what's known as a 1530 policy. But the reality of the situation is since there's so many people in California, a lot of people don't have insurance, or a lot of people don't pay their insurance on time. So you cannot rely on that person to cover for your damages.

If you are hit by a person who has no insurance, you may have the option to sue them. You may get a judgment against them, but getting a judgment does not mean you're going to get paid. You have to collect on this judgment. The chances are people that have no insurance are not going to have the assets necessary to pay out this judgment.

Secondly, collecting on a judgment is not a fun process. It's long and it's difficult. Thirdly, the person against whom you've got a judgment may try to go through bankruptcy and discharge any personal injury judgment you have against them. Fourthly, what if you're hit by a person who has a minimal policy? Say if your medical bills total $100,000. That person who's at fault, the insurance is only obligated to pay you up to amount of the liability limits. In that situation, the insurance company is only on the hook for $15,000. What do you do about this other $85,000 in outstanding medical bills?

For that reason, you need to make sure that you are proactive and have enough insurance on your own. So, you need to immediately call your adjuster. Make sure you have the following. You need to ask if you have UM or UIM. This is Uninsured Motorist and Underinsured Motorist.

The minimum you should carry is a 100/300 policy. Secondly, make sure you have collision coverage. This allows you to get your car repaired in a timely fashion. Make sure you have rental coverage. This allows you to make a claim through your insurance company to get you a rental car in the event that your car is taking a long time to get repaired. Make sure you have medical payments. This is an elective policy that will help pay off your medical bills regardless of fault.

Bottom line in this instance is, if your involved in a car accident, you cannot bank on the other person covering you for the full extent of your damages. Chances are they might have no insurance. They might have minimal insurance. You want to take the proactive steps necessary to protect yourself and make sure you get full compensation for all your damages.

Is the Insurance Company's Offer on My Car's Property Damage Fair?

Is the Insurance Company's Offer on My Car's Property Damage Fair?

is the insurance company making a fair settlement on my property damage claim? hi I'm James Murphy and today I am answering these questions for our neighbors in Hiram, Georgia. in an accident that's not your fault, one of two things can happen with respect to your car the insurance company will say it's a total loss, or they will repair the damage.

if the cars repairable, the insurance company will either pay you, or pay the shop, for repairs this may include diminished value in the property damage depending on the vehicle if your car is totaled they send you a check for the fair market value.

But what if you think the insurance company is not being fair? check the authoritative sources for fair market value of your car once the property damage claim is settled, if you've been injured, you may have a personal injury claim you may be wondering if you need to hurry and get a lawyer right away

Claims Examiner Offers You - New York Car Accident

Claims Examiner Offers You - New York Car Accident

The claims examiner calls you and offers you a pathetic sum of money to settle your accident case. Hi. I’m Gerry Oginski. Come on in. I’m a New York medical malpractice and personal injury attorney trial attorney.

Today’s video focuses on car accidents and what happens when a claim examiner calls you and offers you a few thousand dollars to settle your case. Remember the claims examiner has a specific agenda; they want to get these cases over quickly. They authority up until a certain amount that they will try and offer you in order to get rid of and get your matter resolved. However, if you have medical bills, if you have ongoing injuries, how do know exactly your injuries are worth?

If you have, obviously if you have property damage, that’s a defined number and that can be calculated by going to an appraiser, by going to an auto body repair shop, and then you can negotiate over which one exactly has the correct pricing. But, if you have ongoing care and treatment how are you going to properly evaluate whether or not your particular injuries are worth a particular dollar value? The claims examiner's job is to limit the amount that they hand out.

Your job - or I should say your attorney’s job - is to maximize the recovery that you achieve. And remember those two agendas are at odds, so how do you resolve that and what do you do? Well, when the claims examiner calls you to offer a settlement or when they send you a settlement check without you even asking and see you that check in front of you, it’s for a few thousand dollars. Many people attempt to go ahead and can cash that check right away.

And I’m going to tell you right now, don’t do it. Because by doing that you are going to be giving up your rights and it will prevent you from going ahead and getting full satisfaction for the injuries that you suffered as a result of somebody else’s wrongdoing. Well that’s it for today’s’ video tip about claims examiners when they call you or send you a check without you asking for it. I’m Gerry Oginski, here in New York. Why Go Through A Broker like Car Insurance Market?

Why Go Through A Broker like Car Insurance Market?

Arsalan N.: A broker firm is like many options under one roof. I think that is the first main important thing. You'll get different options from different companies and you find the best one for you.

Mark L.: Local, multinational, all the specific covers you have, we can provide it to you.

Shalni B.: It's always better to buy your insurance from a broker rather than going direct or going to a bank or to very similar mechanisms, simply because brokers are here for a reason. They have done their research, they work with several insurance companies that they can give you various options. If you go direct then you are bound to buy that product. If you're also going direct then you'll have to approach several insurance companies to compare it by yourself which is extra work for you, whilst a broker can give you various options.

Seema M.: And then we know what vehicle we have to insure. We know which insurance company will give them a better rate, better security all that really matters. So, it's the price, it's the service, if it is the insurance company, all these matters a lot. And what coverage is there in that particular insurance. So that's the reason they should come through us because we will see to it that we give them the most competitive rate with a good coverage.

Avinash B.: When you buy directly from an insurance company, you are one of several thousand clients for them and their objective is to charge you the most possible money and give you the least possible benefits because this eventually leads on to profit for them. It's different for a broker, we are independent and our objective is to retain you as a client over the long term, regardless of which insurance company you buy from. So, our objective on the other hand is to make sure that we give you the maximum possible benefits because at the end of the day, it is going to be the same people, it's going to be us who have to help you out at the time of a claim.

Mark L.: Buying an insurance from a bank, through bank or from a showroom, it's like you are dealing with or buying it directly from an insurance company.

Seema M.: Banks, again, usually give insurance when you finance a car. When you finance a car with the bank, they have the insurance built in, you know. So it becomes very easy for the customer to take in insurance from the bank itself. But still, they have one product, whereas brokers have a lot of products which the client can choose as well.

Avinash B.: If you're buying your car insurance from a bank or a car dealer, you are not buying it from an insurance professional. All they want to do is sell you something and make a quick buck out of it. They do not have any sort of infrastructure to serve you in the time of a claim afterwards nor do they have any intentions to train their people to sell the products appropriately and let you know about all the details about the policies.

Fayaz K.: Not necessary that you will get the best rates from them because it's compulsive.

They can always play around with your rates and more of the services are under question, whereas a broker who's always with you from the time of the inception of the cover 'til in case of unfortunate event of a claim or 'til the expiry of the policy or renewal, proper followed, everything should be there, which the dealership agent cannot guarantee or service.

Arsalan N.: Plus, the broker firm's like if you have insurance, insurancemarket.ae they have a claim service, like claim service which you won't find with the insurance companies.

Fayaz K.: If there is a case of claim because of the volume of business we present to them, insurance companies, they take it seriously, more seriously than a person who's making an individual insurance. Because of the volume of business and we have a dedicated claims team also which will help them to get the car service or repair done at the earliest. So, customer gets a peace of mind because he has a consultant who will protect him against any misrepresentation. Second thing, he has somebody who will walk through the claims and he gets a better service at the time of issuance of the policy, and guidance. So, customer is in a bit of rest when he goes to the broker.

Mark L.: Compare the prices. So, with insurancemarket.ae you will be having the most competitive insurance quotations as per the market because with insurancemarket.ae, we have reputated insurance companies that are giving very good rates. So I will rest assure you guys that if you go to insurancemarket.ae, you will be having the best value quote or insurance for your market.

Seema M.: We do give better rates than the insurance company itself. The reason being that we give them up big portfolio of business.

Fayaz K.: So, our purchasing power is so huge, that other insurance companies give them special rates and special features and special services.

Avinash B.: Certainly it is going to be cheaper to buy from us than to buy from the insurance company directly, or even a bank, or a car dealer. But, what is more important is that when you buy from us you have a commitment to claim service.

Rushani P.: At the time of a claim also, you can get a very good service through a broker company and I think it's really good to go through a broker company.

Fayaz K.: The actual value of an insurance company comes into play when there is a claim or when there's an assistance required, that is when these things come into play. If you are with a proper provider, proper agent or consultant you have, they will go through the entire process of claim with you, help you out. If there's any problem you are facing in the policy, that also will be sorted out when you're with a broker but when you're an individual, in the insurance companies you will have tough time dealing with your claims.

Avinash B.: We need to be there for you for the twelve or thirteen months of insurance cover. You should be able to give us a call like anytime when you are in real need and we should be there to help you. And if it is a slightly unusual claim or it is a catastrophic claim, God forbid, we should be representing you in front of the insurance company to have your claim paid as soon as possible. This is our job.

Shalni B.: I think you'll save a lot of time. You also save money because you can see what's available in the market, and it's just convenient. So you'd rather go with a broker than anybody else.

4 Ways You Can Get Busted for "Automobile Insurance Fraud"

4 Ways You Can Get Busted for "Automobile Insurance Fraud"

Auto insurance fraud is when you knowingly file a false claim with regard to a car or auto insurance policy to recover money that you're not entitled to.

Now, we typically see these sorts of cases prosecuted in four types of scenarios.

The first is when you stage an accident or the theft of your car or set your own car on fire in order to collect the insurance money.

And this is often done when people are upside down in their payments and they just want to get rid of their car and collect the insurance proceeds. Secondly, we see these cases filed when there's a false claim of property stolen from the car.

So maybe your car really was stolen, but you claim to your insurance company that oh, by the way, I had $5,000 worth of jewelry in the trunk, when really that's not true.

The third situation where we see these cases prosecuted is when there's an inflated claim for damages. So maybe you did have an accident and there was about $1,000 in damages.

But you conspire with your mechanic in the auto body shop to claim that there was really $10,000 worth of damages. Finally, we often see these cases prosecuted when a person uses the wrong address in obtaining an auto insurance policy.

So for example, maybe you really live in Los Angeles, but you obtain a car insurance policy claiming that you live in San Bernardino because the premiums are much less using that zip code. If there's evidence of any of these activities, it could lead to charges of auto insurance fraud.

Accident Insurance Claims: Do and Dont's from an Experienced Indianapolis Accident Attorney

Accident Insurance Claims: Do and Dont's from an Experienced Indianapolis Accident Attorney

If you’ve been injured, and someone else is at fault, likely they will have insurance and they will report the automobile accident, and they will tell the insurance company that you were injured. And then the insurance company is going to call you, and the insurance company is going to want to talk to you before you've talk to an attorney, because an insurance company likes to get cases settled, so be very careful: if an insurance company offers you money, don’t accept it until you’ve talked to an attorney. And for sure, don’t sign any documents.

You don’t have to talk to an insurance company. You don’t have to give them a recorded statement because they’re trained on how to phrase questions and ask leading questions and you may end up saying something that you really don’t mean, and later they’ll use it against you.

The best advice I could give you is not to talk to the insurance company. Report it to your insurance company so that you’ve met all the deadline requirements of your coverage and then talk to an attorney. We will talk to you, and if we think we can help you, then we will suggest you hire us. Most importantly, our law firm does not charge for an initial consultation. So pick up the phone and give us a call, and in five minutes, many times, I will be able to tell you whether or not the insurance company is acting fairly, whether or not you have a claim and whether or not our law firm can help you.

Very Cheap Auto Insurance -Tips That Guarantee Affordable Car Insurance Rates

Very Cheap Auto Insurance -Tips That Guarantee Affordable Car Insurance Rates

Very Cheap Auto Insurance -- Tips That Guarantee Affordable Car Insurance Rates There are many things you can do to get very cheap auto insurance. Here are a few of them..

1. Good drivers get a special discount known as the good driver discount If you have stayed claims-free for more than three years, you are entitled to this discount What if your insurer refuses to give you this discount? Then tell them you will move over to another insurer. Any driver with a history as good as yours shouldn't have any problems getting much lower rates -- You are every insurer's dream The mere threat of leaving should make them shift grounds. But if they don't, look for another insurer

2. Where you leave is also very important. That's why insurers will always ask for your zip code
Accidents are far more likely in densely populated cities than rural areas. The same also applies to things like break ins and vandalism Different areas in the same city also have different risk threats: Car theft rate (especially for your particular vehicle), crash rate and so on Therefore, check things like these if you are shopping for a new home

3. Go for the minimum bodily injury liability coverage stipulated by your state's law. However, in addition, get an umbrella policy An umbrella policy gives you far more liability coverage per dollar spent than even the most extensive liability coverage within an auto insurance policy. The following example will buttress this point...

Let's assume that a man of about 35 years (who lives in New York City) wants to increase his policy's bodily injury liability coverage of $25,000/$50,000 to $100,000/$300,000...

He'll have to spend about $300 extra in premium!
But compare this to the fact that he could get a $1 million umbrella policy for just less than $300
It even gets better...
If he chooses to raise the coverage amount of his umbrella policy to $2 million dollars, he'll only have to pay only $75 more That's $375 for $2 million worth of liability coverage!
See? That's superior coverage for a lot less --

That's the advantage in adding an umbrella policy instead
But why should you care about bodily injury liability coverage in an auto insurance policy? People get hurt in accidents. And you will be responsible for the claims awarded if you are found to be at fault. Claims awarded could get into the million dollar range and above in certain cases And did you know that lawyers can go after your assets if you don't have enough liability coverage to take care of claims awarded against you?

This means you could easily lose your life savings and even your home if you don't have the right protection An umbrella policy protects you from such situations But that's NOT all about the benefits associated with an umbrella policy. You also get liability coverage that extends beyond automobile-related liability claims. An umbrella policy extends to your home and much more

4. Belonging to certain professions attracts a discount. An engineer, for example, attracts much lower rates than an engineer. The reason for such a discount is that some professions have been proven to be better risks

Your agent is in a good position to tell you if your occupation is eligible for certain discounts. Nevertheless, the discount you'll be given varies from company to company 5. Maintaining more than one policy with the same carrier also attracts remarkable savings All you must do to qualify for this is to purchase your auto insurance policy from the same insurance carrier that is underwriting, say, your home insurance However, take note of the following... Because an insurance provider gave you cheap rates for one policy doesn't mean they will for another Do some research with quotes sites and then discuss with your agent. Thereafter, you'll be sure as you make your choice because you'll then know which is more beneficial Do your research well.
No Claims Bonus - Discount Guide And Rules Explained

No Claims Bonus - Discount Guide And Rules Explained

A ‘No Claims Bonus’, which actually correctly should be called a ‘No Claims Discount’ is just that, it’s a discount given by insurers from an insurance premium to policy holders who have driven claim free. They build it up over a number of years, usually to a maximum that the insurance company allow. “What is a no claims bonus? No named drivers earn them too?”

The benefit of having a no claims discount is the significant reduction it can make to your annual insurance premium. The person who actually earns the no claims discount is the policy holder only, generally it does not apply to any named driver on the policy. “So how will my no claims bonus be affected if I make a claim?”

If you make a claim and your insurance company can recover their outlay from any other party then your no claims bonus will not be affected what so ever. But if the insurance company make a payment and have no right of recovery from any other person, then the no claims bonus will be reduced. If you make a claim nowadays the insurance companies do not actually take away all of your no claims bonus, most insurance companies operate what they call a step back system. where by you step back 2 years of earned no claims bonus, so for instance if you were on 4 years, your no claims bonus would be reduced back to 2. Or if you were on 2 then you would step back to nil. “How do i prove that i am entitled to a No Claims Discount?”

To prove your entitlement to a no claims discount you will need to provide either your last renewal notice from your previous insurer, or a letter from your previous insurer showing the number of years you’re entitles too. “what are protected no claims bonuses, and what are the benefits?” A protected no claims discount is an optional cover you can buy from your insurer, which allows you to have a set number of claims within a number of years without your no claims bonus being reduced. “i’ve had a company car for several years, would I be able to get a no claims discount through that?”

If you have driven on a company car policy claim free, most insurance companies will allow you a starter no claims discount. In order to obtain a starter discount from your company car driving years, you will need to produce a letter from either your employer, or their insurers, proving the number of years you actually drove claim free. A no claims discount has a shelf life of 2 years, so if you haven’t actually held a policy in this country for more than two years, any no claims discount you were entitled is no longer valid with most insurance companies.
Defenses Insurance Uses to Delay Deny Defend Claims

Defenses Insurance Uses to Delay Deny Defend Claims

the whole thing is the injury has to point back to the car accident. and so what the insurance companies will look for is they what you to sign an authorization and they may not just get your emrgency room record where you were treated. they may ask for every bill from that hospital and what they are looking for is past injuries. And if you've had one you certainly tell your lawyer about it and we can prepare and we can figure out how to work around that.
